On YouTube, Julio has 100,000 subscribers and his lessons have 38 million views. Also, his social media presence includes 6,000 followers on Twitter and 18,000 “likes” on Facebook.

However, LatinoJustice PRLDEF has been one group of Revolucionarios fighting since 1972 for the civil rights of Latinos. This group of lawyers uses social media to engage and inform Latinos of their rights so that they can strike back against the system. Marjoriet serves as a symbol of perseverance and has provided individuals who are on the edge of giving up the support they need to move forward, all while teaching her two boys the value of giving back.

Annae Padilla embodies the spirit of her Native American and Mexican antepasados through her perseverance and her relentless pursuit of justice. After growing up in the rough streets of South Central Los Angeles, Annae moved to Arizona where she encountered first hand the injustice of the Arizona Immigration Laws. Erika Batista is a fierce, strong-willed, and hard working Ecuadorian fashionista who is living proof that you can accomplish anything if you set your mind to it.  In slightly over a year she has not only successfully started her own bilingual fashion blog, Lola Blue, which has a substantial readership in both English and Spanish, but also has created an online jewelry boutique called Lola Blue, the closet. Tony Diaz is a professor, author, and founder of Nuestra Palabra, a non-profit organization that promotes Latino literature. He is also a self-described book smuggler and one of the organizers of Librotraficante. When a ban prohibiting ethnic studies in Arizona was passed, Tony appeared in a Youtube video saying, “Arizona, we’re throwing the book at you.”  This was just the beginning of a movement that has now delivered 1,000 banned books into Arizona, and whose message has been amplified by Tony’s active presence on Twitter as @Librotraficante. By advocating access to information on Latino culture, Tony demonstrates his dedication to freedom of speech and civil rights.

Connecting Latinos with educational resources is just one of the many ways New Futuro is making a difference.
